Can I whiten my teeth if I have crowns, veneers, bridges or fillings?

Whitening is a safe, quick, and affordable - it can help remove surface stains caused by tea, coffee, wine and other food and drinks to give you a brighter smile.

Teeth whitening will not change the colour of crowns, veneers, bridges, fillings or composite bonding. If you do have any of the above in your mouth, you can still have teeth whitening, but it will only whiten your natural teeth. The colour of your crowns, fillings including composite bonding, veneers or bridges will remain the same. It is important to talk to your dentist before getting teeth whitening to discuss any potential issues with existing dental work.

We offer two different systems of whitening at Hermitage Dental Practice, please contact us to enquire on 01530 510533.
