A debilitating toothache, unexpected dental infection, or cracked tooth can bring life to a standstill. If you're searching for an emergency dentist near you, Hermitage Dental Practice is here to help — fast.
Whether you're a registered member, private patient, or a parent of an NHS child patient, here’s exactly what to do in a dental emergency, including weekends and bank holidays.
Same-Day Emergency Dental Appointments for Practice Plan Members
If you're a member of our dental plan, you're entitled to same-day emergency dental care at no extra cost. Simply call us at 8:30am on 01530 510533 and we’ll schedule your appointment to get you out of pain.
Travelling or more than 25 miles from the practice? You're still covered. You can:
Visit any emergency dentist near your location
Pay for the treatment and get an itemised receipt.
Submit a Request for Assistance via Global Dental Scheme, including receipts and documentation. This must be submitted within 30 days (UK) or 90 days (abroad). (Reimbursements follow treatment limits).
🏥 Weekend & Bank Holiday Emergency Dental Care
Hermitage Dental Practice is closed during weekends and bank holidays, but urgent care is still available if you are a plan patient.
Under the Global Dental Scheme, plan members can:
See an emergency dentist anywhere — simply search “weekend emergency dentist in Leicester or Loughborough” or at the closest location to you.
Pay the dentist and keep an itemised receipt.
Submit your claim with a Request for Assistance at globaldentalscheme.co.uk.
Patients pay the first £15 as excess.
The annual maximum benefit is £200 per patient.
This is the ideal solution for urgent dental care during holidays or out-of-hours emergencies.
🧾 Private Patients & New Patient Emergencies
If you're a private patient or a new patient in Leicestershire and experiencing a toothache emergency, we’re still here for you.
Call us at 8:30am during opening hours and we will endeavour to see you within 24 hours.
Emergency appointment fee: £114 (this is to get you out of pain)
Further treatment such as fillings, tooth extractions, or root canal treatment will incur an additional cost.
